‘Trip hazard’ box to be moved

Have you spotted this little green box in Park Central?

The box in placed squarely on the footpath at the corner of Parkside Crescent and Park Parade and has caused Ruse resident Brian Wyer concern.

The 80-year-old feared the box would be a “trip hazard” for many of the older residents who call Park Central home.

“The placement of the box is very poor, people walking home in the dark might not notice it and trip over,” he said.

“It would be better if it was moved off the path.”

A Campbelltown Council spokesperson told the Advertiser they were aware of the power box and were working to have it relocated.

The box, spokesperson said, was installed by an NBN contractor and the council has sinced liaised with the NBN to have it moved.

There is no timeframe at the moment as to when it will be relocated, due to the complexities of the existing power supply location.

The council has installed a barrier around the box to ensure that it is “clearly visible”.
