The annual Menangle Park Show is back on Sunday, September 25.

The event will be held from 9am at Club Menangle in the middle of the Tabcorp Park harness racing track.

More than 200 competitors are expected to participate in horse riding events to qualify for next year’s Sydney Royal Easter Show.

Organiser Julie Butler is confident of another successful year.

“We are happy to slowly but surely grow this show over the next few years,” she said.

“Lots of horse competitors like the fact that there isn’t the distraction and noise of a show with rides and sideshow alley, they realise we are serious about it being a horse show.”

The free event will also feature photography, art, crafts, quilting and floral displays.

Camden business owner Steve Wisbey has been helping with the organisation of the event.

“A nice way to spend Sunday is having a browse through some beautiful Art and then watching the horse competition,” he said.

. “It’s humble beginnings for the pavilion categories but we have some marvelous artists and photographers in Macarthur so those exhibits on their own are worth a peak.

Artists can submit their work for the competitions until Friday, September 23.

For more information find the event on Facebook or call Steve on 0429 122 557.
