POLICE IN BRIEF | Drugs, guns, cash allegedly found at Bringelly property

DRUGS, CASH AND GUNS

A Bringelly home was searched last week following a 46-year-old’s arrest at Ourimbah. 

Police from the Gangs Squad’s Strike Force Raptor were investigating the supply of methylamphetamine and cocaine in Sydney and across the state. 

Mobile phones, cocaine, steroids, a BB pistol, a replica Colt 45 pistol, cash and Rebels OMCG paraphernalia were allegedly found at the Carrington Road property and seized for forensic examination.

POLICE SEEK INFORMATION

An 18-year-old woman was taken to Liverpool Hospital on Friday after being stabbed at Woodbine.

Emergency services were called to Curl Curl Place just after 12.30am.

The victim was treated by paramedics at the scene before being transferred to hospital where she underwent surgery for a torso wound.

Her injuries were not considered life-threatening. Investigations are continuing.

CHILD APPROACH

Police are appealing for information after a man approached two children, aged four and five, at a child care centre.

The man allegedly handed the children chocolates through the fence of the centre, located on Redfern Road, Minto.

Police attended the scene after and are investigating the incident. The man is described as Pacific Islander appearance, 180cm tall, aged in his early to mid 20s.

CANNABIS DISCOVERY

Police on a routine patrol allegedly found cannabis on a 40-year-old Camden man after conducting a search in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The man was walking with a bike down Argyle Street when police recognised him at 12.50am.

He was arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station.

The man was charged with possessing prohibited drugs and was awarded bail.

He is due to appear before Moss Vale Local Court on Tuesday, October 25.

FRAUD CHARGES

A Theresa Park woman faced court last week charged with fabricating false evidence and money laundering after she was arrested during a vehicle stop at Cobbitty.

Investigators from the Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad arrested the 36-yearold following Strike Force Rinis2’s extensive investigation into criminal activity in Sydney’s south-west.

The woman is alleged to have created false debt to allow money to be paid back to her through a third party.

WOMAN STABBED

A 45-year-old woman has been stabbed in Minto after allegedly confronting to males who broke into her home.

The incident occurred in Styles Crescent at about 8.30am on Saturday.

The woman suffered a minor stab wound to the chest and a laceration to the left hand.

CROWD DISPERSED

Officers were called to New Place, Narellan Vale on Saturday evening after a party became out of control.

Police found a large number of people on the road at New Place and Vaness Circuit.

Officers worked to disperse the gathered crowd.

Inquiries revealed an occupant had advertised the party and uninvited guests had crashed it. 

BOTTLE HITS POLICE CAR

A birthday party at a community hall on Currans Hill Drive, Currans Hill was shut down on Friday night after a glass bottle was allegedly thrown at a patrolling police vehicle.

Police had been aware of the party and made regular patrols.

After the alleged bottle-throwing incident police asked oragnisers to shut the party down.

No further incidents were reported.

CALL FOR WITNESSES

Witnesses to an alleged ‘ramming’ incident on Picton Road at Wilton are being sought by police.

A dashcam video from a red Mazda driving along the road last week shows a silver Commodore station wagon (or similar vehicle) allegedly approaching the car at high speed and ramming into it.

The 51-year-old Mazda driver escaped with minor injuries.
