CHILDCARE Week was marked with many different activities in many different childcare centres around Campbelltown this week.
Starkingdom Childcare Centre & Kindergarten in Ruse took a diverse approach and invited guests from the local community with as many different cultural backgrounds they could find.
People of Greek, Italian, Maltese, Lebanese, Chilean, Irish, English, Chinese, Japanese and many other backgrounds turned up to the centre for a day of activities.
"The goal is to promote multicultural and diversity in our local community and our little community we have here," director of Starkingdom Anna Stylos said.
"We believe promoting diversity from pre-school age is very important. It's crucial that we recognise the need to plan for and adapt inclusive practices in early childhood."
A morning tea with food from different cultures was enjoyed for the 60 children and their families.
