A BOY, 12, remains in a critical condition in hospital after he and another boy collided with a four-wheel-drive as they crossed a busy road outside Leumeah Public School yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Pembroke Road and Burrendong Road shortly before 4.30pm.
Ambulance paramedics and a CareFlight trauma doctor treated the 12-year-old boy for serious head injuries at the scene and he was flown to the Children's Hospital at Westmead.in a critical condition.
A hospital spokeswoman said his condition remained unchanged this morning.
Another boy was treated in hospital last night for less serious injuries.
