Justin Bieber's legal team have reportedly threatened legal action following the publication of nude paparazzi pictures of the singer on Wednesday.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 21-year-old singer's lawyers issued a cease and desist letter to the New York Daily News after they published the pictures, which show Bieber in the nude while on holiday in Bora Bora.
"We recently became informed that your company has obtained and is distributing unauthorised photographs of our client including images showing him without clothing," the letter from Myman Greenspan law firm reads.
While there was originally speculation that the images were just photoshop jobs, the letter confirms that the images are actually of Bieber.
The letter states that publication of the images was a violation of the What do you mean? singer's privacy, and also alleges they infringe on Bieber's trademarks.
It demands that the offending images be removed within 12 hours of receipt of the letter, threatening to sue if this does not occur.
More than 12 hours after the Hollywood Reporter published the contents of the cease and desist letter, the images are still online.
The pictures, which made headlines when they surfaced earlier in the week, show a naked Bieber standing outside and climbing into a jacuzzi.
In the New York Daily News' story Bieber's penis was censored by a black bar.
However, uncensored versions of the images soon appeared on Twitter.
