Lodge stood down

Wests Tigers released a statement on Friday saying prop Matthew Lodge had been stood down.

"Wests Tigers have been advised this morning of incident involving Matthew Lodge," the statement said. The club is currently working with the NRL Integrity Unit to acquire details of the incident. Lodge has been stood down until the club and NRL Integrity Unit receive all the facts," the statement read.

"The club will make no further comment at this time."

Lovett re-signs

Forward Kyle Lovett has re-signed with Wests Tigers for a further two years.

The new contract means Lovett will be at the club until the end of the 2017 NRL season.

The 22-year-old made his NRL debut in round 1 against the Gold Coast Titans and has played 20 first grade games this season.

Coach Jason Taylor said he had been impressed by Lovett's performances in 2015.

"Kyle has exceeded all expectations this year," Taylor said. "That effort is a credit to himself and the club because he's done probably three times more than what we had hoped for and that's really pleasing."
