A man and a woman will appear in court on Friday after being arrested by officers investigating the manufacture and sale of drugs in Mudgee.
Last year, local police formed Operation Rolex to investigate the production and supply of methylamphetamine in and around Mudgee.
On Thursday, shortly before 10am, police stopped a car which was travelling on Market Street.
The three occupants of the car – one man and two women – were arrested, with officers locating cannabis and an ounce of what is believed to be methylamphetamine on one of the women.
Following the arrest of the trio, all of whom are local residents, police executed a search warrant at a property on Winbourne Street, Mudgee.
Inside the property, officers located and seized 150 grams of cannabis and equipment associated with the manufacture of methylamphetamine.
The man, aged 53, and a 43-year-old woman have been charged with numerous offences relating to the manufacture and supply of commercial quantities of illicit drugs. Both have been refused bail to appear before Mudgee Local Court on Friday, March 27.
The other woman, aged 22, has been charged for possession of the drugs found in the car. Granted conditional bail, she is scheduled to appear in Mudgee Local Court on May 6.
The investigation by Operation Rolex continues. More arrests are expected in the coming weeks.
