Queensland cricketer Grace Harris smashed her way to 151 not out off just 74 balls in a T20 match for Western Suburbs on Sunday.
The 21-year-old all-rounder and Queensland Fire representative hit 22 fours and five sixes on her way to a career-high score, almost doubling her previous best of 83.
She scored all but 43 runs of Wests' total of 1/194 and faced a full 12 of the 20 overs herself.
Harris said she knew she'd reached 150 but didn't know her final figures until well after the match.
"I didn't really look at the board when I left the ground," she said.
"I knew I got 150 because they clapped...but I didn't know it was off 74 balls.
"I figured it'd be a few more than that."
Disappointed after Queensland's semi-final loss to South Australia in the Women's National Cricket League (WNCL) , the Western Suburbs batter was determined to hit a score.
"On the weekend I didn't want to get out."
"I was a little bit at angry at how we ended the WNCL and figured I was due for a big score," she said.
"We weren't chasing any runs, there was no total, it was set it yourself and I did."
With the quick outfield of Robina's Kerrydale Oval and a wicket slightly worn after an earlier second grade game, the conditions played into Harris' hands in the blistering innings.
"The ground stayed true, which was good," she said.
"The deck was played on in the morning as well...and it was already a little bit worn.
"That was more to my liking."
Harris hopes the knock is the start of a purple patch of form for her as Western Suburbs gears up for the finals of the Katherine Raymont Shield and the Queensland one-day competition.
"I'd been training pretty hard and I hate not scoring runs," she said.
"You only get the one chance, one bad ball or one opportunity (in cricket)...and I hate how my opportunities have often come early in the innings.
And after the innings was done, Harris had a pretty low-key celebration.
"I had a roast dinner. That was good enough for me," she said.
The fastest T20 century ever by a woman or man came from West Indian batter Deandra Dottin off just 38 balls in the 2010 Women's Twenty20 World Cup.
