Jennifer Aniston has admitted that there was a brief feeling of disappointment following her Oscars snub.
The 45 year old, who was a hot favourite in the Best Actress category for her role in the film Cake, told Us Weekly that she had a very brief moment of "aw" when she discovered she had missed out on a nomination.
"I'd be lying if there wasn't a little [aw]," she said.
"But after that there's a lot of, 'but look at tonight, look at the Globes, look at the SAGs!'"
Aniston became an Oscar favourite after receiving Golden Globe, Critics' Choice and Screen Actors' Guild (SAG) Award nominations for her portrayal of a woman addicted to prescription painkillers in the independent film.
The former Friends star said it was hard to be upset about missing out on an Oscar nod when the film, which was co-produced by her production company Echo Films, had done so well.
"We're an embarrassment of wonderful riches [for] a movie that hasn't even been released and is teensy tiny," she said.
"This is all just cherries on top of something that was really special to us. So we're really excited."
Aniston also revealed that some of her fellow 'prospective nominees' had made contact after the announcement.
"[Reese Witherspoon] sent me such a sweet email, as did Julianne [Moore]. They are all amazing women, but you know, we're all rooting for each other," she said.
"So it's really, really nice."
