Campbelltown-born Kaarle McCulloch, whose family lives in Wilton, has won a bronze medal at the Olympic’s Track Cycling Women’s Team Sprint event.
Teamed with Anna Meares, McCulloch and her partner recorded 32.727 seconds to finish ahead of Ukraine in the track cycling’s first medal event of the Games and McCulloch’s sole event.
Germany’s Miriam Welte and Kristina Vogel won the gold medal of the London 2012 Track Cycling programme with victory in the women’s team sprint.
