Campbelltown Council approved the suburb's first gun shop last night.
Abela's Gun Shop submitted a development application in March to refit premises at 13 Watsford Road to sell guns, lead shot, clay targets and other related equipment.
Some councillors had previously expressed concerns about the suitability of the shop for the Campbelltown area, but applicant David Abela said there was a big local customer base and the shop would be very secure.
