THEY are the first people seen by patients when they arrive at hospital and are there until patients are discharged — and this month our nurses were celebrated and thanked on International Nurses Day.

Campbelltown Hospital hosted a lunch followed by an afternoon of activities including bed making and personal protective equipment competitions.

Anna Chapman, director of nursing at Campbelltown Hospital, said nurses could reflect on their achievements and feel proud to be part of such a highly valued profession.
