West Sydney Trojans American football held onto their unblemished record with a 20-16 win over the Bondi Raiders at Craik Park on Saturday.
The Trojans under-19s team have won three games from as many matches in the Gridiron NSW Football League colts competition.
Trojans coach David Ward said the team had made a good start to the season.
‘‘We held on for the win which was a good result, as it was a tough game and played in very hot conditions,’’ Ward said.
‘‘I am pleased with how the players are applying themselves.
‘‘We have a squad of 25 players who are all working hard at training and in the games.’’
The Trojans were behind 16-14 at halftime and scored the only touchdown in the second half for the final scoreline of 20-16.
Ward said the team has no major injuries early in the season with the troops all healthy.
‘‘And the competition standard looks pretty event across the clubs again this season,’’ Ward said.
In round four, the Trojans tackle Sydney University Cubs at The Square, Sydney University, this Friday, 7.30pm.
