WESTS Tigers's 26-18 loss to Parramatta at the Sydney Football Stadium on Friday was costly in more than ways than one.
The Tigers slipped back to 10th, on 26 points, on the congested NRL ladder.
They cannot afford another loss in the final two rounds or their season is over.
Two wins would put the Tigers on 30 points and into the finals.
Compounding their woes is a shocking casualty list from the Eels' game.
Leading try-scorer and powerful winger Taniela Tuiaki broke his right ankle and is sidelined for the season.
He will undergo surgery.
Fullback Tim Moltzen has a possible collarbone fracture; prop Keith Galloway damaged his hand; second rower Chris Heighington had scans on Monday for a cruciate knee-ligament injury; and winger Beau Ryan has a knee strain.
The injured Tigers will be monitored by Tigers club doctor Donald Kuah this week.
Fullback Rhys Hanbury and centre Dean Collis are likely to come into the side for the Titans' clash . Utility Dene Halatau who came back from a knee injury and played for the NSW Cup team on the weekend will bolster the forward stocks.
Match kick-off in round 25 against the Titans this Saturday at Skilled Park, is 5.30pm.
