WESTS Tigers captain Robbie Farah only has to get through unscathed in Friday’s clash against Brisbane at Campbelltown Sports Stadium to earn his first NSW State of Origin jersey.
The selectors will announce the team in Sydney on Monday for the opening State of Origin match on June 3.
Farah’s had a man-of-thematch performance in the thriller won by Souths 23-22 at Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday.
Farah has earmarked playing for NSW as one of his most important career goals and with former NSW hooker Danny Buderus now playing in the British Super League the door is open for the 25-year-old to make his debut.
Farah scored a try, made many breaks, launched attacking raids and played the final 15 minutes of the Rabbitohs’ game with concussion.
Tigers have several injuries.
Centre Chris Lawrence (ankle ligaments), could be out for a month, centre Dean Collis broke his wrist in a wrestling drill at training and is out for up to six weeks.
NSW Origin contender and prop Keith Galloway was replaced in Sunday’s game with knee injury and is in doubt.
