WESTS Tigers are within two points of the top eight following a convincing 25-4 win over Canberra on Sunday.
The Tigers' third consecutive win puts them in a good position with three of their six games to be played against opposition at the bottom end of the NRL ladder.
Tim Moltzen opened the scoring for the Tigers with the first of his two tries coming early in the first half.
Soon after, Moltzen dashed almost 75 metres to score his second try.
John Morris' try and a Robbie Farah field goal gave the Tigers a handy 19-0 lead at the break.
Taniela Tuiaki crossed the line in the second half to finish the try-scoring spree for the Tigers.
