LOCAL gridiron team West Sydney Pirates beat Bondi Raiders 21-14 in their NSW Gridiron Football League game on Saturday.
The Pirates had to come from behind twice in the game and scored touchdowns through Sim Tooala, Josh Carusi and Ivan Popovic.
West Sydney Pirates president Wesley Folitarik said defensive player Josh Finn had a great game.
``The star for defence this week was Josh Finn who took two interceptions, one returned about 35 yards, and led the tackle count on the day,'' he said.
``He was clearly the standout player on the park.''
The Pirates take on UTS Gridiron on Saturday at Pennant Hills Hockey Centre
at 7pm.
