Mr Sheens cleans up those Poms

18 Nov, 2009 09:15 AM

WESTS Tigers rugby league coach Tim Sheens has enjoyed a memorable year as rookie Australian mentor.

In May at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane, in Sheens' first game in charge, the Kangaroos toppled New Zealand in the Anzac Test.

And now, Sheens, 59, has steered Australia to an emphatic 46-16 win over England in the Four Nations final played in Leeds on Sunday.

Tiger' hooker Robbie Farah watched from the sidelines as a member of the 24-man squad.
