CAMPBELLTOWN Eagles were on the right side of a one-point victory in their Bundaberg Red Cup against the Western Reds in Perth on Saturday night.
Winning 32-31, the Eagles trailed 24-0 at one stage in the game.
They started the fightback with tries to Samuel Hoare and Joe Ioane to narrow the gap to 24-10 at the break.
Scott Laurie and Hoare scored another two tries to give the Eagles hope.
The Reds hit back to lead 31-24 with eight minutes remaining.
Soon after, the Eagles scored out wide through Amano Tovio and with one minute left on the clock, man of the match Todd Liubinakas scored a field goal to seal a victory for the Eagles.
Meantime, East Campbelltown's Group 6 Country Rugby League first-grade team had a free weekend with their game being deferred ``due to the weather and the Eagles not having, or finding a ground suitable to play A grade rugby league in the Campbelltown area''.
