First Grade - Raby 1
Campbelltown Camden Ghosts First Grade was defeated by Fairfield Liverpool in Rd 14 action in Sydney Grade cricket.
Chasing 372 for victory the Ghosts were always on the back foot after a disastrous start which left the home side reeling at 3-9 with both openers Russell Gascoigne and Aaron Yabsley along with James Phathanak back in the sheds.
Reece Ogle (27) and Cameron Nupier (33) then played confidently before both were dismissed prior to lunch with the home side a shaky 5-95 at the break.
After lunch Troy Yabsley (38) played several powerful straight drives while captain Tony Clark (32) played patiently with the two looking in control.
However, with Yabsley's dismissal and despite some late-order resistance from Nasir Jalil (20), the Ghosts were all out for 192 ending any realistic hope to reach the finals series.
Second Grade Rosedale Oval
Ghosts second grade looked set to defend their first innings total of 200 when Fairfield Liverpool slumped to 5-83, however the Lions consolidated and passed the Ghosts for the loss of six wickets Lions 6-201 def Ghosts 200. Ben Isakka 2-39 and Matt Zovi 2-25 the leading Ghost bowlers.
Third Grade Raby 2
The Ghosts dramatically collapsed at Raby 2, dismissed for 184 after being 5-182. Brad McGuire led the way with 46. The Lions 5-185 def Ghosts 184.
Fourth Grade Fairfield Oval.
Fairfield Liverpool were 9-217 at stumps after Ghosts Mark Richardson 5-34 and Chris Inger 3-34 starred with the ball. Day 2 washed out. The match was match drawn.
