CAMPBELLTOWN Camden District Cricket Club's James Phathanak recorded his maiden first-grade century against Sutherland on Saturday.
Phathanak, 19, batted brilliantly at Raby Oval in the round six Sydney Grade Cricket match after being introduced when the Ghosts had lost two early wickets.
When opener John McKell fell for 43 the match was evenly poised at 3-91, before Phathanak was joined by in-form all-rounder Cameron Nupier.
The pair compiled an entertaining 116-run partnership before Nupier was dismissed for 65, in an innings which included 11 fours.
Phathanak played a full range of shots with great timing. He scored 119 runs from 162 balls including 19 fours and a six, before he was dismissed.
The Ghosts slipped from 4-257 to be all out for 295.
Sutherland will resume at 0-62.
Second grade paid the price for dropped catches with Sutherland posting 5(dec)-433.
The Ghosts will resume at 2-70.
Dale Breckenridge (4-60) starred for third grade with Sutherland dismissed for 267.
Nasir Jalil (2-25) and Mark Richardson (2-52) also toiled hard in hot conditions.
In fourth grade, Sutherland was dismissed for 226 with Ghosts' Murray Yabsley (3-34), Matt Kelly (2-15), Roscoe Ray (2-47) and Ron Saunders (2-54) all bowling tightly. Ghosts will resume at 2-6.
Fifth grade dismissed competition frontrunners Sutherland for 98 with Chris Inger (3-3) and Hamish Oxley (3-15) leading the way. Ghosts will resume at 6-92.
