ORANGEVILLE motor racing driver Daniel Erickson is asking people to help him become a Formula One racing driver.

A fundraising auction night has been organised for Friday to help the 21-year-old and the Starlight Foundation, at Campbelltown Catholic Club on Friday.

A member of the Confederation of Australian Motorsport's elite international Rising Star squad, Erickson competes in the British Formula Ford Championship.

Among the numerous sporting items being auctioned, include Mark Webber and Casey Stoner autographed helmets, as well as a long list of signed memorabilia.

Tickets will cost $55, which includes a two-course dinner, with $5 from each ticket going to www.demotorsport.com.au or 46571033.
