Basketball to bounce at midnight

28 Sep, 2011 12:00 AM
CAMPBELLTOWN youths are invited to shoot hoops at the strike of midnight at Minto Indoor Sports Centre on Friday, October 21.

The Campbelltown Midnight Basketball program includes an eight-week basketball tournament and life-skills workshops on financial management, healthy living and employment.

Throughout the program participants will receive dinners and have access transport to and from the venue.

"A popular and positive experience for local youth, Midnight Basketball is a chance to shoot some hoops, participate in a variety of interactive workshops and make new friends along the way," mayor Anoulack Chanthivong said.

Youths who take part are required to attend the developmental workshops if they wish to compete in the tournament.

The program is open to youth in the Campbelltown area aged 12 to 18.
