Police have arrested and charged two men following an alleged home invasion at Airds yesterday.
About 1:50am, Sunday 7 March, a woman answered a knock on the door of her home in Ravensworth Place, Airds.
It will be alleged a 29-year-old man asked for another occupant before he had the door closed on him and another man kicked the door open and forced entry into the home.
The pair confronted a 44-year-old male occupant and allegedly assaulted him by hitting him over the head with a bottle.
Police and NSW Ambulance Paramedics were called to the home and the pair fled the scene prior to police arrival.
The injured man was taken by ambulance to Campbelltown Hospital for treatment.
About 8:15am detectives from Campbelltown Local Area Command arrested a 37-year-old man at his home in Foxlow Place, Airds.
He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station and charged with special aggravated break and enter with wounding and reckless wounding in company.
Just after midday a 29-year-old man was arrested in Campbelltown and later charged with special aggravated break and enter with wounding.
Both men were refused bail and are expected to appear at Campbelltown Local Court today.
