Two charged over alleged drug supply

A man and a woman will appear in court today charged over the alleged supply of drugs in Sydney’s south-west.

Operation Gaba commenced earlier this month to investigate the supply of heroin in and around the Campbelltown area.

As the result of an ongoing investigation, Campbelltown Detectives yesterday (Wednesday 17 March 2010) arrested a 25-year-old Camden woman at Ashcroft.

She was taken to Green Valley Police Station where she was charged with ongoing supply of prohibited drug and possess prohibited drug.

Investigators later executed a search warrant at an address in Ashcroft and allegedly located a quantity of heroin and a large amount of cash.

A 29-year-old man was arrested and taken to Green Valley Police Station where he was charged with supply indictable quantity of prohibited drug, two counts of supply prohibited drug, and possess proceeds of crime.

Both persons have been refused bail to appear in Liverpool Local Court today (Thursday 18 March 2010).
