A NEW community centre in Blair Athol has been officially opened. The centre, car park and landscaping is stage one of work in Blair Athol's John Kidd Reserve.

It is part of Campbelltown Council's master-plan for the site. A playground will be completed as part of stage two and a cycleway is stage three.

The community centre, which is available for hire, caters for up to 100 people and has a kitchen, an indoor area and a large outdoor entertainment deck. Other work in Blair Athol includes tree-planting in major streets plus construction of a cycleway and fitness circuit in Harvey Brown Reserve. There is also a cycleway and play space in Tree Gully Reserve.
