Pre-school struck by graffiti vandals

01 Jul, 2009 02:20 PM
IT was bad enough that Little Green Frogs Preschool staff had to scrub off a large penis painted on their van, which transports local children.

But last week owner Kylie Green came to work only to find ugly black tags on new signs she had just bought.

The business, which is new to Leumeah, had its van parked in St Helens Park last month when vandals wrote profanities and drew male genitalia on seven vehicles.

Ms Green said she now has to clean graffiti her signs and building as well.

``I came to work [last Friday] and there it was black graffiti everywhere and tags all over my signs,'' she said.

The attack comes after a major vandalism spree along Sturt, Colonial, George and Hume streets.

Police said the rampage on June 7 could have stretched to Waminda Avenue shops. Four young men were arrested and charged after the attack.

Last Thursday, Campbelltown police conducted a ``Vikings'' operation. It focused on licensed premises, graffiti offences and bail curfews.

Anyone with information about the pre-school graffiti attack is urged to contact Campbelltown police, 46201199.
