IT'S as if blokes have forgotten how to use a razor.
Local mates, workers, shopkeepers and even staff in the emergency section of Campbelltown Hospital are displaying an alarming amount of lip hair for Movember.
This annual, month-long event encourages men to grow moustaches to highlight male health problems such as prostate cancer and depression.
Campbelltown Catholic Club is putting in a strong effort. The club, including Rydges and Aquafit, has put together a team of 28 men.
Those sporting mos of various lengths and shapes include general manager Michael Lavorato, marketing manager Graeme Derrig and Rydges general manager Rino Canto.
Mr Derrig, as captain, said it was the biggest team they had rallied and had already raised $1400.
``Most people have only ever seen us clean-shaven, so it creates a bit of interest,'' he said.
``We're encouraging members to get involved, to sponsor us or join the team.''
But Mr Derrig, who's growing a beard before shaping his moustache, said the hairiness was taking a while to get used to.
``My wife and kids hate it,'' he said.
``I can't wait to get rid of it.''
