GOLF lovers from all over Macarthur are invited to a shoot-out this Friday to raise money for some special children.
On March 12, golfers can turn up to Campbelltown Golf Course between 5pm and 7pm to compete for $300 club cash.
It costs $5 to play and golfers can hit three of their own balls to see who gets closest to the pin to win.
The money raised will go to Monique Sherry, 17, Elise, 14, and Nicholas, 9, of Orangeville who saw their parents drown in a rip at South Ballina beach in January.
Their dad, Joe Sherry, worked in the kitchen at the golf club. He drowned trying to rescue his wife Carole who had swum out to help her children but couldn't get back to the shore.
The president of Campbelltown Golf Club, Maurice Scott, and Gary Hogarth, of the club's board of directors, have organised a week of fund-raising for the Sherry children.
Ms Scott said the staff and members wanted to raise money to help the children through this tough time.
``It's a chance for people to take part and help to make things a little bit easier for them,'' she said. ``We felt we'd like to do something because Joe worked at the club and a lot of our staff and members knew him.
``If anybody would like to participate they're most welcome to come along.''
Golfers can turn up at the club on Golf Course Road, Glen Alpine, between 5pm and 7pm on Friday, March12, for the shoot-out.
