Get set for the Fisher's Ghost Fun Run

04 Nov, 2009 10:06 AM
RESEARCH has revealed that people who change from being sedentary to physically active are more likely to do other good things, such as eat healthier food or give up smoking.

This may result from a changed mindset. Becoming more physically active may be just the first step in turning over a new leaf. A simple starting goal could be to enjoy the friendly atmosphere of Campbelltown's annual Fisher's Ghost Fun Run, which will start at 8am this Sunday at the UWS Campbelltown campus.

Taking part in the 5km walk event that is a part of the Fisher's Ghost Fun Run is a great way to start being more active. It would also be ideal preparation for another goal participating in the annual Campbelltown City Challenge Walk next March.

Details: Campbelltown Council's Healthy Lifestyles Unit, 46454605.
