Footy club tackles tricky subject of sexual health

12 Aug, 2010 12:00 AM
THE Campbelltown Eagles junior rugby league club has teamed with Sydney South West Area Health Service to promote sexual health among young people.

In coming months, the SSWAHS sexual health service will be raising awareness of sexual health and collecting urine to test for chlamydia at the Eagles' training sessions.

A club spokesman said with the recent increase in STIs (sexually transmitted infections) among young people they felt they should focus on education.

The SSWAHS sexual health service works within local communities to encourage people to talk about sexual health, learn the facts about STIs and access services.
