Campbelltown forum on coal seam gas

26 Oct, 2011 12:00 AM
CAMPBELLTOWN residents who want to know more about coal seam gas can attend a special community forum this weekend.

The Scenic Hills Association will hold the information meeting to discuss AGL Energy's proposal to mine for coal seam gas in parts of Campbelltown and the Scenic Hills.

The space has been earmarked for the Camden Gas Project's northern expansion and if the plans, which are now before the state government, are approved, 72 gas extraction wells will be drilled.

The meeting will be from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday, October 29, at the HJ Daley Library, corner of Hurley Street and Camden Road, Campbelltown.
