THIS year's The Biggest Loser contestants weren't the only ones given health tips from trainer Michelle Bridges.
The Channel 10 identity popped into Airds shopping centre on Saturday to give about 200 locals a fitness presentation.
A mini health expo, run by Mount Annan Christian Church Community Services through Federal Government funding, had health businesses and groups involved.
Ms Bridges also signed books and displayed food.
The manager of the community service, Kim Wearden, said the event was successful.
``We had different feedback including a local man, who said he had never seen so many people in the complex before,'' she said.
``Other people said that celebrities have never come to Airds before, so it was a real joy for them.
``This idea started in a parents' group, which is fun and creative one parent said it would be awesome if we could get Michelle Bridges out for a health expo and I got in contact with Channel 10 and it happened from there.''
Mrs Wearden said Ms Bridges enjoyed being in Airds. ``It was her first time out there and I suppose it would have been a bit of a culture shock because it's not a place she's used to.
``We operate from Airds and we negotiated low rent to be there, so we were right in the heart of the community.
``We also work in Claymore as well.''
